Plantation Park will become a hub of community activity this Saturday as the Rotary Club of Home Hill prepares to host its annual Mega Markets.

The event will welcome locals from across the Burdekin for a morning of shopping, socialising and supporting community initiatives, with the markets running from 8am to 2pm on Saturday, 8th of August.

The Rotary Club of Home Hill’s Mega Markets will feature a variety of local stallholders, with visitors able to browse fresh produce, homemade goods, handmade creations and other unique items.

Breakfast options and coffee will also be available throughout the morning, giving families and friends the chance to settle in and enjoy the atmosphere.

Rotary members said the event provided an opportunity for the community to come together while supporting the club’s ongoing projects across the region.

Funds raised through the markets contribute towards Rotary’s community work, helping the organisation continue its service within the Burdekin.

Organisers encouraged residents to bring along family and friends, support local stallholders and enjoy a morning out at Plantation Park.

The event has become a fixture of the Burdekin calendar, with past iterations attracting hundreds to the park.

This year's edition will keep the Mega Markets at Plantation Park, running from 8am to 2pm on Saturday, 8 August 2026.
