Cr Column Councillor Max Musumeci

Last week saw my diary very full as the school year starts to draw to a close also. I attended the BCHS sports awards, the Home Hill High School awards night and the Colls Memorial Lecturette Public Speaking Competition. There were some fantastic results in all fields and I was very impressed with the year 6 students from around the district as they spoke exceptionally and I’m always impressed with the topics the kids these days cover. The future looks to be bright indeed. Well done to all.

With the crushing all done and dusted, the timing couldn’t be better for some Harvest Festival fun which kicks off this weekend. Saturday should see a big crowd at Derby day followed by the Harvest festival Golf Ambrose on Sunday. The Mardi Gras caps it all off on the 7th November and plenty more fun in between. Hope to see plenty of you out and about.
