Ayr Juniors Swing Into Form

Sunny skies and cool conditions provided the perfect setting for the Ayr Junior Golf Club's July Monthly Medal on Saturday, with young golfers producing impressive scores across all divisions.

The monthly medal recognises the best nett score in each age group, while gross winners were also celebrated for their outstanding rounds.

In the three-hole competition, Reid claimed the July Monthly Medal with a superb nett score of two-under, finishing with an impressive gross score of 21. Micah was the gross winner after another strong performance.

The six-hole division saw Zach take out the Monthly Medal after a much-improved round, recording a gross score of 54 and a nett score of 18. Sam claimed the gross honours with a personal best score of 40.

In the nine-hole competition, Evelyn secured the Monthly Medal after carding a gross score of 52 to finish with a nett score of 31. Kyle was the gross winner with a score of 51, narrowly missing a personal best.

Club officials congratulated all players on their efforts and the high standard of golf throughout the morning.

Attention now turns to next weekend's competitions, with juniors set to compete at the Collinsville Junior Open on Saturday, followed by the Bowen Junior Open on Sunday.
