The Norm Perry Memorial Duck Race brought bright yellow fun to Plantation Park on Sunday, May 19. Family-friendly activities, including colouring contests and novelty races, started the morning with plenty of other activities keeping attendees entertained before the big race. One of the biggest days on the Burdekin’s calendar, the Burdekin Growers Race Day, has come and gone and while frocks were worn and horses were raced, one of the bigger attractions of the day came when attendees got to leave with a free box of Burdekin grown produce.
