Electronic Tags For Sheep And Goats To Be Rolled Out Across Queensland

Tagged Fishing Competition Boosts Record Grants To Community Stocking Groups

The Queensland Government earlier this year placed a record $1.1 million on the line to support fishing in Queensland's stocked impoundments, a 16 per cent increase on the 2021-22 financial year.The Stocked Impoundment Permit Scheme (SIPS) provides a sustainable freshwater fishing option for recreational fishers, who are required to purchase a permit before line fishing in any of the 63 SIPS impoundments.

Berm 1 has received a major facelift with approximately 20 buckets of dirt added, resulting in a smoother and faster track.

Western Suburbs Tennis Club were privileged to host the inaugural Col Casswell Inter-City Shield named after legendary North Queensland tennis player and supporter Col Casswell on October 21. Col died in 2021 from brain cancer leaving behind a rich legacy in the sport that will hopefully continue.
