“I spoke to one of the judges—she went, ‘oh my god, that was the most difficult thing I've ever done. I just couldn’t choose,’” she said.

‍

Students also enjoyed a meal donated by local businesses before this year’s Harvest Festival Queens took to the stage for a formal address. Brisbane-based entertainer DJ Dello provided the night’s music.

Ms Woods said the event received many positive reviews, praising the conduct of participating students.

‍

“It was such a good night. The students were so well-behaved, which was a credit to all the schools,” she said.

“It was a great opportunity for them to just relax and have a good time before exams.”
