Scotty Taylor Claims Home Hill Bowls Club Singles Title

Twenty-two players enjoyed another perfect spring afternoon, with a light breeze.

Three games of triples and one game of pairs were contested.

Rink 4 – Triples: Margaret Chapman, Robb Darr and Glen Bones Berryman (pictured, the day’s lucky rink winners) outlasted Nev Webb, Dino Poli and Joe Linton.

Rink 5 – Triples: Meryl, Des Chapman and Mick McClosky won convincingly over Paul Vass, Katerina and Gary Nosworthy.

Rink 6 – Triples: Betty Webb, Les Hoey and Hugh Montgomery recorded a good win against Maureen Marsden, Ron Smith and Alex Bojack.

Rink 7 – Pairs: Steve Doig and Bruce McCallum claimed a convincing victory over Janet Arthur and Phil Marsden.

Earlier in the day, the final of the club singles competition was played on Rink 3 between Scotty Taylor and Jeff Taylor, with Scotty taking the win. Congratulations, Scotty!

The meat tray raffle was won by Steve Doig, with Mick Olsen taking second prize.

What’s on at the club?

Monday fitness, Tuesday Trimmers and Tuesday Funday, Wednesday morning Kraft group and barefoot bowls in the evening with darts, Thursday morning BINGO and social bowls in the afternoon, Friday night pool competition, and Saturday afternoon social bowls.
