The Burdekin Roosters have wrapped up the 2026 regular season, bringing another big year of junior rugby league to a close.

Across the season, Roosters teams took to the field each weekend at home and on the road, travelling to Townsville and Bowen throughout the year to play their regular fixtures.

The final round marked the end of the season for the club’s U6 - U12 teams, who have enjoyed a strong year of footy, developing their skills and building plenty of confidence along the way.

For the International age teams, the regular season is also complete after playing their final rounds, but their 2026 campaigns aren’t over yet. Attention now turns to finals preparations as teams get ready for the next stage of the season.

Behind every game has been a huge effort from coaches, managers, league safes, volunteers and families, who have given up their time each week to keep the kids on the field.

The club thanks everyone who has played a part in the 2026 regular season and congratulates all players on another year in the red, white and blue.

Now it’s time to get behind our teams as finals footy gets underway.
