On 28th September, a 62-year-old Ayr man was intercepted on a motorbike. He was issued with a Notice to Appear in Court for drug driving, disqualified driving, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, and using false plates.
On 30th September, a 38-year-old Ayr man was intercepted riding a pushbike on Victoria St, Ayr. A search located methylamphetamine and drug utensils. He was charged with possessing drugs, possessing drug utensils and failing to disposeof needles and syringes.
On 1st October, police intercepted a vehicle at McDesme. A subsequent search located drugs and drug utensils. The 62-year-old Giru man was issued with an official Drugs Offence Warning for the matters.
Also on 1st October, a search warrant was executed at an address in Ayr. Firearms parts and drug utensils were located.
A 31-year-old man was charged by Ayr detectives with trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine), 20 counts of supplying dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of weapons. Police opposed the man's bail.
