Ayr State High School’s annual Cultural Awards, hosted by Cultural Captain Sarah, was held on Thursday 8th October, celebrating the incredible talent, creativity and achievements of our students across the performing and visual arts.
The evening began with the opening of the Art Exhibition, where our talented visual arts students showcased an impressive collection of work across drawing, painting and sculpture. Their creativity, imagination and willingness to challenge conventional ideas were evident throughout the exhibition, highlighting the diversity and originality of artistic expression at Ayr High.
The awards ceremony continued the celebrations, recognising students for their dedication and achievements in extra-curricular cultural activities and Instrumental Level Achievements. The evening was filled with outstanding musical performances, with Destiny Dennis, Evie Cranston, Chloe Scrivener, Deon Ferrando, Evana Bello and Sonja Martin, Mason Lando and various ensembles providing memorable opening and closing performances. The Choir and Concert Band also impressed audiences with their exceptional performances, showcasing the hard work, commitment and remarkable growth of our musicians throughout the year.
