Big Plans Ahead For Burdekin Bocce Club

The Burdekin Bocce Club is excited about the future. Thanks to several successful grants, the club will be able to improve its facilities and stay a welcoming place for the community for years to come.

The club has received $109,170 in grants. This funding will help part replace the roof, add new seating and signage, and support general maintenance around the club. These upgrades will give the club new energy and make it a more comfortable and enjoyable place for members, visitors, and future generations.

The Burdekin Bocce Club is more than just a sports club. It is a place for friendship, fun, and tradition. The club celebrates the Italian heritage of the Burdekin community with games of bocce and the popular Italian card game Briscola.

The club is proud to offer a friendly, social space where people of all ages can meet, enjoy some friendly competition, and most importantly, have a good time.

One of the club’s senior players, Luigi Cavalin, proves that bocce is truly a game for life. Luigi recently turned 90 and still plays regularly, showing that age is no barrier to enjoying bocce.

The Burdekin Bocce Club invites new players, families, and visitors to come and see what the club is all about. Friendly games take place every Sunday at 3 pm, and you don’t need any experience to join.

Whether you are young or just young at heart, everyone is welcome to play, learn, and enjoy the friendly spirit that makes the Burdekin Bocce Club special. With these exciting improvements coming soon, the future looks bright for bocce in the Burdekin.
